Fatalities

  1. Mohammed Sa’id Abu Hassira, paramedic, killed whilst inside the ambulance, by IOF aircraft missile, in the vicinity of Jabal al-Rayes, east of Gaza City, Dec 31 2008. (source PCHR)
  2. Ihab ‘Umar al-Madhoon, doctor, who was also inside the ambulance during the above incident, sustained serious wounds,  and died of his injuries later the same day, Dec 31 2008. (source PCHR)
  3. Yaser Kamal Shbeir,
  4. Anas Fadel Na’im,  
  5. Ra’afat Abdul ‘Al, paramedics killed instantly by IOF aircraft missile in the al-Dahdouh area, south of Tal al-Hawa, in Gaza City, while climbed down from the ambulances and set off to evacuate people who had been injured in the area. Jan 4 2009. (sources PCHR , Amnesty International)
  6. Arafa Hani Abd Al Dayem, killed by Israeli Flechette bomb attack, Jan 4 2009
  7. Hassan Al-Attal, Live ammunition injury, Jan 7 2009
  8. Bassam Qouta, driver working for UNRWA, killed when IOF opened fire at a convoy of trucks that were waiting near Beit Hanoun (Erez) Crossing, in order to transport humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip for UNRWA. (source PCHR)
